CHAIRPERSON
Cheyenne Valero
Cheyenne (she/her) is a Curtin University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Japanese. She was a previous Contributing Editor for Grok Magazine from 2022 to 2023, Editor-in-Chief of Curtin Writers Club from 2023 to 2024, and Head Editor for Pulch Mag from 2023 to 2025. While being the Chairperson for Pulch Mag, Cheyenne currently works as an editor in educational publishing.
SECRETARY
Haylie Ventouras
Haylie (she/her) is a Curtin University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing. She has previously been published in Pulch and Curtin Writers Club’s annual Coze Journal anthology, and is currently the Secretary for Pulch Mag.
TREASURER
Leila Marshall
Leila (she/her) is a writer and editor. She’s the Treasurer of Pulch Mag, and on the editorial committee at WhyNot. She studied Creative Writing and Professional Writing and Publishing at Curtin University. Leila’s essay ‘Butch Femme’ was recently published in Damsel Magazine.
HEAD EDITOR
Sophie McGeough
Sophie (she/her) has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Professional Writing and Publishing from Curtin University. Her writing has been published in Three Can Keep a Secret by Night Parrot Press and Pulch. She was previously the Deputy Editor throughout 2024 and 2025. Whilst being the Head Editor of Pulch Mag for 2026, Sophie works as the Admin and Comms Officer at The Literature Centre.
TYPESETTER
James-Benni Brookfield
James-Benni (he/him) is a Bachelor of Education student at Curtin University, studying Primary School Education. He is passionate about activism, illustration and spread design. Having previously designed the last two issues of Pulch, James will be reprising his role as Typesetter for Pulch Mag and will be putting together Pulch Issue Five in 2026. He has also designed Coze Issue 7, 8 and 9 for Curtin Writers Club.
DEPUTY EDITOR
Sophie Whettingsteel
Sophie (she/her) is a Desktop Publisher and Editor at R.I.C Publications. She has a great love for stories and the behind-the-scenes support that goes in to producing a piece of work. Previously, Sophie has worked as Editorial Director at Elephant Page Publishing in 2024 and Production Assistant at Fremantle Press in 2024. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing and Publishing. In her free time, she can be found reading sci-fi, sewing or at a medieval fair.

Sergio Muirson
Sergio (he/they) studies a Creative Writing degree at Curtin University and writes speculative and realist fiction. Beyond traditional writing, he tries to incorporate TTRPG mechanics and play into his writing, seeing how improvisation and unpredictability can influence a story.

Mya Earle
Mya (she/her) is a student at the University of Western Australia studying a Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in English and Literary Studies. She is an editor for Pulch Mag and serves as the Head Editor of UWA’s Arts Union magazine, Peafowl. Outside of her editorial work, she is currently writing her debut novel, All Fall Down.

Nicholas Robbins Bevis
Nicholas (he/him) graduated from UWA in 2024 with a degree in English and Literary Studies. He spent the following year backpacking abroad and has now returned to Perth. In his free time you’ll find him working behind a bar, riding his bike, or writing fiction.

Micah Santos
Micah (she/they) is a student at Curtin University, studying a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and Professional Writing and Publishing. They are an editor for Pulch Mag’s upcoming issue. In their last two years of high school, Micah was awarded the LGBTQIA+ award in the Dymocks Beyond Words Writing Competiton, and was the runner-up in the Non-Fiction category of the Hachette Australia Prize for Young Writers.

Duncan-Andrew Mc Blain
Duncan-Andrew (he/him) is an independent editor working with queer, self-publishing authors. He holds an honours degree in English and Creative Writing from Murdoch University and has studied Professional Writing and Publishing at Curtin University. Beyond editing, he works as a bookseller. He plans to publish a revised edition of his successful honours text, Ecdysis, in late 2026.

Sofia Beckingham
Sofia (she/her) is studying English and Creative Writing at Edith Cowan University, where she hopes to improve her skills as a writer and an editor. She is passionate about giving voice to young Western Australian storytellers.

Oliver Porzig
Oliver (he/him) is a student at the University of Western Australia studying a Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) in Physics and a Bachelor of Modern Languages in French Studies. He also holds an Associate of Music in Musicology, having conducted research into the relationships between poets and the composers who set their texts to music, and he is interested in how literature can be experienced in a myriad of novel forms.

Reilly McGrath
Reilly (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literary Studies from the University of Western Australia. She is an editor for Pulch Mag, and part of the editorial collective behind the open-access academic journal Limina. Reilly is an enthusiastic member of Western Australia’s literary community and has previously interned at UWA Publishing and Westerly Magazine.

Christopher Mariotti
Christopher (he/him) is an emerging writer living in Boorloo who has been published in and edited for Peafowl, Choking Hazard and Artery magazine, He has also been published in Meniscus magazine and is co-editor of an upcoming zine Labyrinth which can be found at @labyrinthzine.mag on Instagram. His work explores the Anthropocene and the fragmenting/interconnecting technology that it spawns. When he’s not rewriting this author bio, he’s usually playing his Smurfs village builder game.

Rosanna Willinge
Rosanna (she/her) recently graduated from UWA with an arts degree, majoring in English and Literary Studies and Gender Studies. Her work has previously been published in Pelican Magazine. She is passionate about writing and literature, as well as the ocean, wine, and birds.
