HEAD EDITOR
Cheyenne Valero
Cheyenne is a Curtin University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Japanese. Alongside being the Head Editor for Pulch Mag, she was the Editor-in-Chief for Curtin Writers Club throughout 2023 and 2024, and has previously worked for Grok Magazine as a Contributing Editor.

TREASURER
Leila Marshall
Leila is a writer, editor and reviewer, studying Creative Writing and Professional Writing and Publishing at Curtin University. In addition to being the Treasurer for Pulch Mag, she was previously an intern at Portside Review and reviewer for Fringe World Festival. Leila is a regular and passionate patron of Luna Leederville Cinemas.
DEPUTY EDITOR
Sophie McGeough
Sophie is a Bachelor of Arts graduate, having majored in Creative Writing and Professional Writing and Publishing at Curtin University. She has previously been published in Three Can Keep a Secret by Night Parrot Press and Pulch Issue Three. In 2024, she took on the role of Deputy Editor for Pulch Mag, and is excited to continue working with the committee for the next issue.
TYPESETTER
Bennie Playford
Bennie is a third-year Bachelor of Arts student at Curtin University, studying Graphic Design and Journalism. He is passionate about activism, illustration and spread design. Having previously designed Pulch Issue Three, Bennie will be reprising his role as Typesetter for Pulch Mag and will be putting together Pulch Issue Four in 2025. He has previously designed Coze Issue 7 and Coze Issue 8 for Curtin Writers Club.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Taonga Sendama
Taonga is a Bachelor of Arts student majoring in Creative Writing and Public Relations. While being the Social Media Manager for Pulch Mag, she is a multimedia artist whose work seeks to build community connections through collaborations with local and international artists, and provide a space of healing and familiarity for others.

Haylie Ventouras
Haylie is a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts student majoring in Creative Writing at Curtin University. She has previously been published in Pulch Issue Three and Curtin Writers Club’s annual Coze Journal anthology, and is currently an editor for Pulch Mag.

Isabelle Biondi Saville
Isabelle is a writer from Boorloo. She has been published in several print and online journals, and was long listed for Best Australian Yarn in 2024. Isabelle was previously an editor for Curtin Writers Club and a reviewer for Fringe World. She believes in the beauty and power of words and their ability to connect people from all walks of life. When she isn’t writing, reading or editing, you will often find her winding up her cats or going for long walks.

Hannah Reynolds
Hannah writes on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. Her work has appeared in Westerly Magazine, Artery Magazine, and her own publication, Choking Hazard. She is currently undertaking an Honours dissertation in English and Literary Studies at UWA, and is writing one half of a bi-authored novel — which takes the form of a Hegelian dialectic — about skimpy waitressing.

Janella Nicoli
Janella is an emerging writer, editor and academic. She is currently studying English and Literary Studies and Creative Writing at UWA. Alongside being a 2025 editor for Pulch Mag, Janella has had her work published in Damsel Magazine, and has won several literary awards including the Amy Jane Best Prize in Literature.

Alexander Hazell
Alexander is an editor, writer and Englishman who has had his poetry published in Coze Journal. Along with being Curtin Writers Club’s Editor-in-Chief for 2025, he is undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing and Publishing and History. Alexander also works as a junior bookseller at QBD Books.

James Stanwix
James is a writer, student and baker working in Walyalup/Fremantle. He co-produces the zine Choking Hazard, edits a creating writing column in the Fremantle Herald, and runs a poetry night at the Buffalo Club called ‘Hem’. Their work has been published in Westerly Magazine, Cordite and elsewhere. They are currently completing an Honours that collides double exposure photography and prose poetry at UWA.

Ellie Fisher
Ellie is a writer, editor and doctoral student. Her work has appeared in Westerly Magazine, Pulch Mag, Gem Zine, Night Parrot Press and Swim Meet Lit Mag, amongst others. They are a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at UWA, researching feminist autotheory, écriture féminine, and the possibilities of textural intimacy in hybrid nonfiction. She splits her time between Kinjarling and Boorloo.

Sidney Blake-Stanbury
Sidney is a writer and emerging editor with a bachelors degree from Curtin University, having majored in Creative Writing and minored in Asian Studies. Alongside editing for Pulch Mag, she’s currently working on her own emerging-adult novel, writing about small town Australia and exploring the complex journey of ‘almost-adulthood’. She currently has one publication as an editor and illustrator for Puppy Tails (2016) by Pat Torpy.

Amity Smith
Amity is an emerging writer based in Perth, Western Australia. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in English Literary studies, with a minor in Creative Writing at UWA. Her writing delves into the complexities of human relationships and the impact of memory on the present. Amity is particularly inspired by authors like Albert Camus and Franz Kafka, drawing from the absurdist movement and surrealism to explore themes of existential uncertainty and its influence on the human condition. She has gained experience through internships with Westerly Magazine and the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA. Alongside being an editor for Pulch Mag, Amity is also a sub-editor for literature at Pelican Magazine, where her work has also been published.
